A Little About Me...
Born and raised in Istanbul, I am the younger child of my family, which also made me the youngest grandchild on both parents’ sides.
With an active passport from a young age, populated with visas from a number of countries, I had the opportunity to observe and learn, both within the safe boundaries of home and abroad.
Family is the first educational institution we find ourselves in, and the teaching techniques employed by parents gradually shape our learning methodology. Therefore, a big thanks goes to my parents, who ensured my learning was based on both theory and practice.
Academic Journey
In terms of formal education, I had the opportunity to study in the UK after completing my high school education at The Koç School. A BA in Politics and Sociology at the University of Exeter was followed by an MA in Humanitarian and Development Practices at Oxford Brookes University. I believe I am one of the luckier people who studied subjects they were truly interested in and invested in, which makes learning an adventure instead of a chore. Therefore, another MA in EU Relations followed at Bahçeşehir University.
Professional Expertise
I have always valued training and learning new skills, which has driven me to both participate as a student and contribute as a trainer in a wide range of workshops. Over the years, I’ve mastered my mediation and facilitation skills, which have become essential in organizing, leading, and moderating engaging and impactful workshops.
My experience extends beyond the classroom—through my roles, I’ve been responsible for building and leading teams, managing resources, and supporting individuals in their growth. I take pride in mentoring others, helping them navigate challenges, and empowering them to reach their personal and professional goals. Whether working with individuals from diverse backgrounds or collaborating with teams, I’m committed to ensuring everyone has the support they need to succeed, both individually and as a collective.
